North Land: Investigate the participation of PWD in sport

A training for persons with disabilities held in Berane, with the aim of training them to conduct research on the level of discrimination against persons with disabilities in the field of sports. Given the current epidemiological situation, the training was held in combination, ie, part of the participants participated in the training online, via the Zoom application.
The plan is that after the training, trained interviewers investigate public opinion throughout Montenegro. This research on the exercise of the rights of persons with disabilities in the field of sports, ie the scope and type of discrimination against persons with disabilities, will include at least 90 persons with disabilities, taking into account equal representation of women and men, different types of disabilities and their damage from all over Montenegro, after which the collected data will be processed and a report on the percentage and type of discrimination against persons with disabilities in the field of sports will be prepared.
The report will, among other things, be used to present the situation in the field of sports in Montenegro when it comes to exercising the rights of persons with disabilities.
This activity was realized through the project “Our move”, which is supported by the Ministry of Human and Minority Rights, with funds for 2020, and which is implemented by the NGO “North Land” from Berane and the NGO “Equivalent” from Podgorica.
