Non-governmental organizations, the North Land from Berane, the Association of Persons with Physical Disabilities of Montenegro from Cetinje and the Prevention and Education Center from Podgorica have started the implementation of the project “Circle non-discrimination!”. The realization of the set general goal will increase the political participation of persons with disabilities in Montenegro, both at the national and local level, which will ultimately lead to an increase in respect for human rights and promotion of equality of persons with disabilities.
Also, the project will strive to strengthen the capacity of organizations that bring together people with disabilities to influence legislative and electoral processes in their communities, to achieve positive changes in electoral rules, contribute to changes in laws and policies at the national level, but also support cooperation between local authorities and the organization of persons with disabilities. The project is funded by the Ministry of Justice, Human and Minority Rights for 2021.
