February 7, 2018NGO “North Land” from Berane is implementing a project entitled “Knowledge and Cooperation Towards UN Sustainable Development Goals”, in partnership with high schools “Panto Malisic” from Berane and “September 30th” from Rozaje. The media partner to project is Radio Berane.
The main goal of the project is to contribute to the introduction of the UN goals of sustainable development in secondary schools by enhancing knowledge of professors and students and creating partnerships between different social actors.
The realization of all planned project activities is expected to improve the level of knowledge about the three UN goals of sustainable development (3rd goal – HEALTH AND WELTH, 4th goal – QUALITY OF EDUCATION, 5th goal – GENDER EQUALITY) in secondary schools in Berane and Rozaje, the level of awareness of the professors on the importance of education for sustainable development, practical examples through planned activities to indicate to the pupils the importance of “green” entrepreneurship in order to create new, sustainable jobs, and promoting healthy lifestyles, that will lead to the prevention of bad habits among young people (consumption of tobacco, narcotics and alcohol), and consequently to improving the quality of health of the same.
This project is implemented with the help of grants received through the SEEDLING program of the Regional Environmental Center for Central and Eastern Europe. This program is financed by the Austrian Development Agency (ADA).
