PRESENCE ON ROUNDTABLE ON SEPTEMBER 20 TH 20.09.2017.

Director of the NGO “North Land”, Marinko Barjaktarovic, attended a meeting of the Coalition 27,which consists of 20 environmental NGOs, which was held in the form of round table “Ecological State of Montenegro – From Vision to Reality” to celebrate 26 years since the proclamation of Montenegro as an ecological state.
Non-governmental organizations have talked about the environmental problems that Montenegro faces and some of them are: improper disposal of municipal and industrial waste, depletion of natural resources, the lack of a system for wastewater treatment, poaching … One of the topics was the Law on spatial planning and construction, which considers not to be in conformity with the prescribed mechanisms for the protection of nature.
Besides representatives of non-governemental sector, the roundtable was attended by representatives of public administration and the media.
The round table was held within the project “Capacity Building for a better environment in Montenegro”, which North Land implemented in partnership with non-governmental organizations Green Home, the Center for Bird Protection and Study of Podgorica, the Association of Young Ecologists of Niksic and Green Action from Zagreb, Croatia, which is funded by the IPA 2014 Civil Society Facility Program Montenegro.
