ENTREPRENEUR CORNER IN THE GYMNASIUM “PANTO MALISIC” OPENED

In the Berane Gymnasium, in the presence of representatives of the state and local administration, as well as the non-governmental sector, the Entrepreneur Corner for the students of the mentioned school was opened.

The motive for the establishment of this Corner is in the wish of the founder, NGO “Northe Land” from Berane and the „Panto Mališić“ High School, that all pupils interested in entrepreneurship have the opportunity to work, learn and create, or transform their business ideas into works, said the director of the Organization, Marinko Barjaktarović and director of the Gymnasium, Sreten Lutovac.

Srna Sudar, from the Regional Environmental Center for Central and Eastern Europe, also highlighted the importance of opening of the Entrepreneur Corner, stressed the importance of implementing the UN goals of sustainable development in schools, and expressed the desire that such and similar ideas should always be supported not only by donors, but also relevant public administration bodies.

Darko Stojanovic, Berane Municipality Manager with associates, and Mervana Hadrović, from the Aarhus Center in Berane, supported the establishment of a Corner in the Gymnasium with their presence and welcoming words.

The Corner is equipped with adequate furniture and equipment / material that will serve not only members of the newly founded School Company, but also other students interested in entrepreneurship.

Since the basic goal of the Entrepreneur Corner is to promote green entrepreneurship, the same is open on the World Environmental Day – June 5th.
With the desire to promote the principles of sustainable development in the local community with his participation, and especially those ecologically, this event was joined by the director of the NGO “Society of Young Ecologists” from Niksic, Miodrag Karadzic.

This activity was realized through a project entitled “Knowledge and Cooperation Towards UN Objectives for Sustainable Development”, implemented by NGO “North Land” in partnership with high schools “Panto Mališić” from Berane and “30. September ” from Rožaje. The media partner of the project is Radio Berane.

This project is implemented with the help of grants received through the SEEDLING program of the Regional Environmental Center for Central and Eastern Europe. This program is financed by the Austrian Development Agency (ADA).
