April 22 – Earth Day celebrated

NGO “North Land”, in cooperation with the Municipality of Berane, Komunalno d.o.o, Aarhus Center of the Agency for Protection of Nature and Environment and NGO “Center of Ecological Initiatives” organized a series of activities on April 22, Planet Earth Day.
Through an interactive workshop and lecture, held at Public Kindergarten “Radmila Nedić” and several short films on the topic “Save Nature”, Rita Barjaktarovic pointed out to the participants of the older groups the importance of preserving the environment. The workshops were attended by participants and employees of the public institution “Dnevni centar za djecu i omladinu sa smetnjama i teškoćama u razvoju Berane”.
In the yard of the School for Basic Music Education, students and teaching staff, with the help of the employees of the Utility Company, and representatives of all partners to this action, planted trees and flower plants and on that way contributed to the celebration of this day.
Members of the ecological section of the elementary school “Radomir Mitrovic”, who, together with the organizers, cleaned and edited the school yard, also joined the Earth Day campaign. On that occasion, the atrium was arranged in the school hall and flowers were planted there.
