Project – Sustainable use of water in the Black Sea Montenegro

NGOs North Country received funding for the project Swami – Sustainable water use in the Black Sea Basin and Montenegro (Sustainable use of water in the Black Sea Montenegro) by ETNAR project, implemented by, among others, the NGO Green Home from Podgorica, which is funded by the European delegation.

The overall objective of the project is to give contribution to the conservation of water in the Black Sea and the specific objective is the improved level of knowledge of students, public administration, media, business sector and non-governmental organizations on the conservation of water resources and sustainable water use through education and media campaign during the period of six months. The project includes the municipalities of Berane, Rozaje and Gusinje.

Through the project was planned lectures for elementary school students on the theme of sustainable use of water and ecological organizations quiz with prizes, and meetings with citizens on sustainable water use, production of educational brochures on the subject, media campaigns and trainings for NGOs on the theme: Advocacy , lobbying and campaign organization.

Implementation of the project started in July this year, and will run until December of the same month.
